Lose yourself in the buzz of the bustling bazaars, and check out the many mosques and grand Arab residences. Options include a guided tour of the town, visiting the local museums, or just relaxing.

Day 3-4 Mangwapani Beach (2B,2D)

Visit a local spice plantation for a guided tour. The archipelago still produces cloves, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, breadfruit, jackfruit, vanilla and lemongrass. Continue to the beach and relax on the white sand, soaking up the sunshine, or snorkel or scuba dive in the crystal clear waters.

Day 5 Stone Town (1B)

Transfer back to the airport for departure. Please book ongoing travel for the late afternoon.

Experience the Ugandan countryside and finish up at a bush camp in western Uganda.

Day 6-8 Gorilla Tracking/Lake Bunyonyi (3B,3L,3D)

Set off on an included chimpanzee tracking excursion and tea plantation visit in the morning before travelling to Lake Bunyonyi. Enjoy a 1-day guided mountain gorilla trek. Option to go canoeing, fishing, hiking or boating around the lake.

Day 9 Kampala (1B,1L,1D)

Return to the capital after a long drive. Almost to Jinja!

Day 10-11 Jinja (2B,2L,2D)

Enjoy this town known for its outdoor and adventure activities. Opt to raft down the White Nile River, mountain bike up and down the hills or volunteer with a local project.

Cross over the Outeniqua Mountains and stop by the Knysna Heads for a scenic view of the beautiful scenery. Enjoy free time to go hiking, bungee jumping or whale watching. National park entrance fees are included.

Day 5 Addo National Park (1B,1L,1D)

Enjoy a game drive in the touring vehicle. Be on the watch for big elephants.

Day 6 Karoo National Park (1B,1L,1D)

Travel into the vast semi-desert of Karoo NP.

Day 7-8 Lesotho (2B,2L,2D)

Cross the border into the highest independent state in the world. Enjoy free time for hiking or horseback riding along trails through this beautiful mountainous country.

Day 9-10 Drakensberg (2B,2L,2D)

Return to South Africa, and set up camp at the foot of the mountains. Set off on an included hike along Tugela Gorge in Royal Natal NP.

Day 11-12 Zululand (2B,1L)

Travel to St Lucia near the coast of Zululand. Opt to take a game drive in Umfolozi Game Reserve or go horseback riding on the beach.

Day 13 Swaziland (1B,1L,1D)

Cross another border into Swaziland and camp in Milwane Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day 14-15 Kruger National Park/Greater Kruger Area (2B,2L,2D)

Continue on to Kruger NP for an afternoon game drive in the touring vehicle. Enjoy a full-day game drive the following day before travelling to the village of Shalati. Experience a traditional Shangaan dinner and dance in the evening.

Day 16 Johannesburg (1B,1L)

In the morning, visit Planeterra-supported Hope Africa Children’s Day School. Afterwards, transfer to South Africa’s capital, where the tour ends upon arrival. Book ongoing travel from 8pm onwards.

Free time to shop in the world’s largest medina, visit a Berber pharmacy and take in the many colours of an ancient tannery.

Day 7-8 Marrakech (1B)

Travel across Morocco to the bustling city of Marrakech. Check out Djemaa el Fna Square for a good taste of the country—from tagines to magicians and snake charmers, it’s sure to entertain.

Day 9-10 Nkob/Merzouga (1B,1D)

Travel west into the desert and head off on a camel ride into the dunes. Spend the night in a Berber camp.

Walk though a local village farmland near Todra to learn about the local way of life.

Day 12 Aït Ben Haddou (1B)

Get lost exploring the kasbah in the Atlas Mountains. Optional Moroccan cooking class.

Day 13-14 Essaouira (1B)

Enjoy an orientation walk through the city. Take in the laidback vibes of this coastal town.

Day 15 Marrakech (1B)

Continue onto Marrakech where the tour ends upon arrival at 12pm; please book onward travel after 2pm.
