Braised Clams with Shrimp and Chorizo
Serve this in a large bowl with Italian garlic bread.
- tablespoonOlive Oil
- 2clovesgarlic, minced
- 4shallots, thinly sliced
- 1/2cupchopped spicy mexican chorizoe
- 32clams, rinsed
- 8shrimp, peeled and un-veined
- 1cupwhite wine
- 4cupsbottled clam juice
- 1tablespoonchopped fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, rosemary)
Step 1 In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic, shallots, chorizo, and cook 30 seconds.
Step 2 Add clams and shrimp. Add white wine and reduce liquid by half. Add clam juice and cover until all clams open.
Step 3 Swirl in butter and herbs.
